Salt, a humble kitchen stable found in every home. In Feng Shui this is an age old tool that has a very long history and is use in many cultures.
As the first official post off this 13 series post.
I like to remind people that they are many ways to do Feng Shui.
This is just how I as an Feng Shui Expert would use salt for clients, friends and family.
Number 1) Salt water cure : Banishing the Yearly Afflictions
This is a very popular simple cure use by many Feng Shui practitioners working in the flying star and purple star system to counter the black sickness star and the yellow star of misfortune.
The logic is salt attracts and absorbs negative energy.
So highly negative stars will active the salt, resulting in absorption.
Then the water works as the holding cup of energy.
The process is simple, get a jar, water, 6 coins preferably Chinese and salt.
Then just fill the container on the selected date and place it at the afflicted corner.
Although I primarily use this cure for star 2 the black sickness star, others may opt for star 5 on the annual chart.
Those who proceed with the process will need to check if the cure over flow and the results. After results are check, remove and repeat the process until the Chinese year ends (February not December).
Number 2) Salt : Wealth Attraction
There are two ways you can do this attraction.
One is to place salt at the four corners of the house. The other is to place salt at the doors of the home, emphasizing on the main door.
The concept is simple we are attracting positive Qi by removing negative Qi. This works well with properties with extreme Yin and humidity problems.
The process is very easy, just get 4 cups and some salt.
Then just fill the cups on the selected date.
Redo the process every Monday when you open your business, or when it gets dirty. You can keep doing it as long as you like.
Number 3) Himalayan salt lamp : Removal of Qi
This item has become very popular with holistic people.
However I do not like Himalayan salt lamps.
Because of the removal of negative Qi is usually follow by the removal of positive Qi from the amount of salt involve.
For most people who live in a one bedroom condo or a small townhouse, a Himalayan salt lamp is too much salt to be place in the open.
Yes, it may give you good health but as you live with it, your wealth tends to evaporate.
The suggested amount of Himalayan salt I recommend clients to put in a home is about a small rice bowl size of pink salt. Any more would be too much salt.
However for private personal consulting, I usually recommend using tektite and birthstones for a better ROI.
Of-course there is always more complicated concepts of space clearing and wealth activation. But these three uses of the common salt is something people can explore and experience Feng Shui.
